Multifunctional project designed by the architect John Berg in New York

This multifunctional project designed by the architect John Berg and located in Brooklyn, New York in the Wythe Avenue corridor. This project serves as an event and performance space, bar and retail store created for the Kinfolk Studios.

The region of Williamsburg Brooklyn is mostly occupied by low rise industrial buildings supporting the local manufacturing and Kinfolk is a creative collective that utilizes this space for various projects such as a restaurant, shop, bar or showroom.

The Kinfolk began in 2008 with the idea of creating products and experiences that couldn’t be purchased from somewhere else, so several disciplines were brought together with the group of friends starting to find designers and techniques of the highest quality for unique products.
The building used to be a mechanics garage and the brick structure has a storefront opening to the Wythe Avenue with an intimate bar area and a full capacity of up to 150 persons for movie screenings, DJ parties, musical performances or dinner parties.
