Spreading over the surface of 4750 square feet, the La Brea Bakery in Los Angeles was designed by the practice of SF Jones Architects with bread as the main theme of the location. As the new flagship location of the bakery and the owners wanted a setting that serves as a jewel case for the wares. The bakery has a 25 year history and the designers wanted to show their legacy in the artisanal atmosphere defined by warm brown tones and brickwork.
The wood trellis is defining the bakery area with a 35 feet display case filled with pastries, sandwiches and baguettes. The visitors can enjoy special baked bread in a setting with wooden blocks and the La Brea name inscribed on the exposed brickwork wall. The dining tables are made of reclaimed wood of different types and the seats are comfortable to provide a cozy, even homey, ambiance.
