We are going to admire one of the largest stadium in the world which is main purpose of hosting the final of the Euro 2012 that’s going to be held in Poland in Ukraine.
This stadium is known as the Olympic Stadium from Kiev. After Euro 2012, it will function as a multi-use sports facility. It stands on the Cherepanov Hill, Pechersk Raion in Kiev,Ukraine.
The stadium was too big for Dynamo so it was decided that the Lobanovsky Dynamo Stadium would serve as the team’s home ground. From that moment on the stadium functioned as a host for important football international matches and high-profile home games from FC Dynamo Kyiv. Right now, the Olympic Stadium is the home ground of the Ukraine national football team and before its reconstruction it served as the official venue of the Ukrainian Cup final.
The new design of the stadium implied the demolition and the reconstruction of the lower tier to add a new west stand and many more features. The stand has a press box also known as the luxury box placed between two tiers. The roof covering the stadium was replaced with a new one that extends over the entire seating area and a 13 story high rise building was added to the west of the structure. The work began on 1 December 2008 and it ended in 2011. It now has a capacity of 70.050 and it was officially opened by Viktor Yanukovych, the president of Ukraine on October 8,2011.
